Through the Stations

Gabriela Gleizer is a 27-year-old student based in Jerusalem, studying a BFA in photography at Bezalel Academy of Arts & Design. Gleizer in interested in portraying social matters through documentary photography

This annual project, entitled Through the Stations documents people on a journey through the different stations of Jerusalem’s light rail train—one of the main methods of transportation in the city, passing through religious and non-religious Jewish and Arab neighborhoods.

The project aims to explore and analyze complex layers of identity within Jerusalem’s society, which includes Israeli-born citizens, Palestinians, immigrants, devout religious groups, and more. Gleizer used a Mamiya C330 camera for this project.
