Exhibition Opening: Drawing Biennale | The Seventh Biennale of Drawing in Israel, held under the auspices of and produced by the Jerusalem Artists’ House, has established its status as a unique and comprehensive artistic enterprise since 2001. Traces VII – Action Line, the Seventh Biennale of Drawing, draws away from the conventional perception of drawing as a linear action unfolding on a two-dimensional support – usually paper. Exhibition Opening: Dynamo | The exhibition “Dynamo” brings new works together originating in various modes of sculpture. All of them are based on an initial act of drawing followed by a response. The show focuses on the emergence of drawing in sculpture alongside volume, material, and form. The function of drawing in it is neither decorative nor superfluous; it constitutes the work, although it is not necessarily present at its starting point.
